Shavano Conservation District Annual Meeting and Dinner, March 11, 2025, 6pm at the Ute Indian Museum, 17253 Chipeta Road, Montrose, CO, 81403.
You are invited to the Shavano CD 83rd Annual Meeting which will be held on the 11th of March at the Ute Indian Museum located at 17253 Chipeta Road, Montrose. We will start the evening off at 4:30-5:30pm with a Local Work Group meeting which will be co-facilitated by Kalli Savvas/CSCB Regional Field Specialist and Elizabeth With/NRCS AST- Partnerships. This meeting helps our local NRCS office collect feedback regarding local conservation priorities which will help to identify your local conservation resource needs.
Please join us after the LWG meeting (6:00pm) for a great evening of information and entertainment, meal provided by Blue Ribbon BBQ, SCD's Annual Report, Awards, plus a great speaker, Brody Wilson, presenting on the Gunnison Tunnel (history and present).
Producers that will be recognized include Dave and Zoe Werden of Montrose as Wildlife Producer of the Year; Garvey Brothers Land and Cattle LLC, Centennial Farmers in Nucla as Producers and Ranchers of the Year; Steve Woodis of Montrose for Soil Health Conservation Producer of the Year; and Stephanie Cady at Olathe Elementary as Conservation Educator of the Year.
Tickets are $20 per Adult and $12 for children 10 and under. You can buy your tickets ahead of time Here or pay with cash or check at the door. Ticket includes dinner provided by Blue Ribbon BBQ. See you there! If you have any questions, please let me know. RSVP by March 6th!
NOTE: If you ONLY want to attend the LWG meeting, there is no charge for attendance. Feel free to leave after the LWG meeting ends prior to the Annual Meeting.
